For the purposes of interpretation of this chapter, the following words and phrases shall mean:

“Clerk” means the office of the city clerk, including duly appointed deputies thereof.

“Manager” means the office of the city manager.

“Person” includes officers, employees and city councilmembers of the city of Maricopa.

“Proceedings” includes any threatened, pending, or completed action, suit or proceeding, whether civil, criminal, administered or investigated. [Code 2004 § 2-2.]
