A. Any board, committee and commission member found in violation of this code of ethics may face the following sanctions:

1. Warning;

2. Letter of reprimand;

3. A demand for nonmonetary restitution (e.g., a public apology, the return of gifts);

4. Removal by council based on a majority vote.

B. Serious infractions of the code of ethics or other intentional and repeated conduct in violation of this chapter may result in other sanctions as deemed appropriate by council. Violations of state law provisions described herein shall be punished as provided for in state law. The language used in imposing sanctions will be consistent and follow a specific format as established by the council. [Ord. 14-10; Code 2004 § 2-140.]
