Before entering upon the duties of the office, the clerk shall execute a bond in such amount as is provided by statute, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the duties. Any premium for such bond shall be a proper charge against the city. [Ord. 18-09 § 1; Res. 18-24; Code 2004 § 3-53.]
