The director shall:

A. Implement and enforce the provisions of the city code for the promotion of the public health and safety.

B. Maintain the efficient operation and management of public safety communications.

C. Direct the efficient operation and management of a nonemergency communications system, as established and maintained by the city and as authorized by the manager.

D. Make and impose administrative operations rules, procedures and regulations necessary to the efficient implementation and enforcement of the provisions of the city code.

E. Be responsible for community emergency preparedness.

F. Serve as emergency services planner and coordinator in developing and maintaining plans, managing resources and responding to deferral, state and local emergencies.

G. Perform such duties as may be required by law and such other duties as the manager may deem necessary. [Ord. 22-26 § 3; Res. 22-60.]
