Article IV. Disposal of Surplus Property

A. All departments and offices shall submit to the purchasing director, at such time and in such form as shall be prescribed, reports showing all supplies and equipment which are no longer used or which have become obsolete or worn out. The purchasing director, or the purchasing director’s designee, shall dispose of such supplies and equipment pursuant to the provisions of A.R.S. § 9-402.

B. Surplus supplies may be leased or donated pursuant to a written contract approved by the council; provided, that the city receives adequate consideration for the surplus supplies, as determined by the purchasing director.

C. The amount received for any property sold pursuant to this chapter shall be deposited in the general fund or other fund so designated by the purchasing director. [Ord. 18-09 § 1; Res. 18-24; Code 2004 § 3-251.]
