A. Employees have the right to participate on behalf of or engage in activities on behalf of an employee organization and have the right to refrain from such activity. Employees shall be free from any interference, restraint, or coercion by any employee, supervisor, or manager for or against employee organizations. Violations will necessitate disciplinary action.

B. There can be only one official and exclusive employee organization for each employee group for purposes of meeting and conferring. An exclusive employee organization must equally and fairly represent all employees as designated by MCC 3.75.050 and shall provide to them the same voting rights and eligibility to hold office in the employee organization.

C. Employee organizations shall have no rights beyond the specific terms of this chapter and a resulting meet and confer agreement.

D. Employee organizations shall have the right to biweekly dues deductions, if approved by the members of the organization and as allowed by law. Dues deductions from payroll must be authorized by each individual employee on the appropriate form provided by the human resources department. [Ord. 18-09 § 1; Res. 18-24; Code 2004 § 3-277.]
